Visiting Tajikistan has always been on my bucket list—a place of rugged mountains, ancient Silk Road history, and warm hospitality. From 11 November 2025 to 16 November 2025, I finally made the journey.
Before flying out, I purchased travel insurance from So Easy Travel Insurance, which gave me complete peace of mind during the trip. Knowing I was covered let me relax and fully enjoy the adventure.
Below is my full travel story and day-by-day experience.
Day 1 (11/11/25) – Arrival in Dushanbe
I landed at Dushanbe International Airport, where the cool November breeze greeted me right away. The city felt surprisingly calm—broad avenues, mountain views, and welcoming locals everywhere.
Highlights:
- Walked around Rudaki Park
- Saw the towering Flagpole of Dushanbe
- Tasted my first Tajik meal: qurutob and shashlik
- Relaxed early after settling into the hotel
I realized immediately how safe the city felt—and knowing I had my So Easy Travel Insurance policy added extra comfort after a long flight.
Day 2 (12/11/25) – Exploring Dushanbe’s Culture
The second day was all about getting to know the capital.
What I visited:
- National Museum of Tajikistan – ancient artifacts, Persian history
- Navruz Palace – one of the most beautiful cultural buildings I’ve ever seen
- Mehrgon Bazaar – colorful spices, fruits, honey, and handmade crafts
In the evening, I visited a local teahouse. Tajik tea culture is special—warm, sweet, and shared with generosity. Locals talked with me like an old friend.
Day 3 (13/11/25) – Drive to the Fann Mountains
This was the day I had been waiting for—the legendary Fann Mountains.
The drive alone was breathtaking: rivers cutting through valleys, snow-tipped mountains, and tiny villages along the way. I stayed in a cozy guesthouse near Iskanderkul Lake.
Unforgettable moments:
- Standing at Iskanderkul, one of the most beautiful lakes in Central Asia
- Short hike to Iskander Waterfall
- Eating homemade plov prepared by the guesthouse family
That night, the sky was the clearest I had ever seen. The Milky Way stretched across the horizon like a painting.
Day 4 (14/11/25) – Nature, Hiking & Pure Mountain Peace
I woke up early and went hiking with a local guide. Tajik mountains feel untouched—pure, wild, and incredibly peaceful.
What I loved the most:
- The silence of the mountains
- Crystal-clear rivers
- Shepherds guiding their animals through the hills
- Fresh mountain air
Later in the day, the weather turned unexpectedly cloudy and cold. I felt grateful to have So Easy Travel Insurance, especially knowing it covered unexpected weather and travel issues.
Day 5 (15/11/25) – Return to Dushanbe + Last-Day Shopping
The drive back to Dushanbe gave me time to reflect on everything I experienced.
Back in the city, I explored the last few attractions:
- Victory Park – panoramic view over all of Dushanbe
- Tea House Rohat – classic Soviet-era architecture
- Local shops for dried fruits, honey, carpets, and souvenirs
Day 6 (16/11/25) – Departure
My final morning was slow and peaceful. I enjoyed one last cup of Tajik tea before heading to the airport.
The trip felt perfectly safe, organized, and meaningful. Tajikistan surprised me with its natural beauty, kind people, and cultural richness. And having So Easy Travel Insurance made the whole journey stress-free.
